This program began in March 1992, and since then has matched many organizations and persons with free computers. The Foundation acts as a clearinghouse for donations of usable computer equipment which are cross-matched to a list of needs submitted to the Foundation by various veterans groups, charitable organizations, schools, churches, underserved youth and any person who has contributed significant volunteer work in their communities.
