Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #423, was bequeathed the remaining portion of the shellac record collection of George Buyken, a well-known collector from Bothell WA. The vintage collection was cataloged and contained over 7000 titles of various recording labels, musical styles, and singers (circa 1909-1943). The collection was offered for sale in October 2005 and by mid November, the highest bid was accepted by the Chapter. Chapter President Rob Hitchings stated that the proceeds of the sale were targeted to insure a good holiday season for local Iraqi Veteran families.
